Terms of Service

These terms cover Summit Tutoring’s website, coaching programs, and student/parent dashboards. By applying, booking, creating an account, or paying, you agree to them. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to them on your behalf.

The service

Summit Tutoring provides online, 1-on-1 and small-group coaching for AP Calculus AB, plus practice assignments, solution videos, and progress tracking in a private dashboard. Sessions take place over video. Accounts are created by invitation only.

Founding Scholarship ($100 commitment deposit)

Founding Scholars receive the scholarship program described on the scholarship page free of charge for 8 weeks from their kickoff session. Before the kickoff session, the family pays a $100 commitment deposit.

• The deposit is refunded in full at the end of week 8 if the student (1) attends both scheduled 1-on-1 sessions and (2) completes all assigned practice by its due dates.
• Rescheduling a session with at least 24 hours’ notice does not count as a missed session. A no-show or a cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice does, except in a genuine emergency (at the tutor’s discretion).
• If those conditions aren’t met, the deposit is non-refundable.
• Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days of the week-8 review.
• Scholars agree to give honest feedback at weeks 4 and 8. Feedback may be shared publicly only with a parent’s consent, using first name and last initial, and is always labeled as coming from a family that received the program free. We ask for honest feedback, never a positive review.
• Scholarship recipients are chosen at the tutor’s sole discretion. Applying doesn’t guarantee a place, and the scholarship has no cash value and can’t be transferred.

The 16-Week AP Calc Turnaround

The Turnaround is a 16-week program, priced at $1,497 paid in full or 4 monthly payments of $397. Enrollment opens on the date shown on the website. When you enroll, these guarantees apply:

14-Day Guarantee

If you ask within 14 days of your first coaching session, for any reason, we refund everything you’ve paid for the program.

Do-the-Work Guarantee

If the student attends every scheduled session (rescheduling with 24 hours’ notice is fine) and completes every assigned practice set by its due date, and their AP Calculus AB class grade hasn’t risen by at least one full letter grade — or reached a B or higher — by the end of week 16, we continue weekly 1-on-1 coaching at no charge until it does, through the end of that school year. This guarantee provides continued coaching, not a cash refund. The starting grade is the grade the family reports at enrollment; the ending grade is the student’s current grade as shown in the school’s grade portal.

Other refunds

[[RYAN: confirm]] Outside the 14-day window, payments for the Turnaround are non-refundable, except that if we have to end the program early, we refund the unused portion.

Scheduling, cancellations, and missed sessions

• Please reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before a session.
• Late cancellations and no-shows count as a used session.
• If we need to cancel, we’ll reschedule at no cost to you.

Session packages

When offered, prepaid session packages are credited to the student’s account after payment. Unused sessions don’t expire while the account is active.

Conduct

• Be respectful in sessions and messages.
• Don’t share your login, share access to course materials, or post solution videos elsewhere.
• Our coaching helps students learn; we won’t complete graded schoolwork or tests on a student’s behalf.

No guaranteed results

Grades and AP exam scores depend on many things outside our control. Apart from the specific guarantees above, we don’t promise any particular grade or score.

Content

Course materials, practice problems, and videos belong to Summit Tutoring and are licensed for the enrolled student’s personal use only.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Summit Tutoring’s total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and changes don’t affect programs you’ve already paid for. These terms are governed by the laws of [[RYAN: your state]].
